A mapping of the transitional moments within a conversation between two
people. The video suspends brief instances of communication / miscommunication
between the two individuals where a paradoxical event can be understood
as unfolding; a simultaneous occurence of predictability and uncertainty.
The simple act of a dialogue becomes a site of complex interaction at play
between the two signals [the communicators] and the ambiguous [unknown]
zone of noise space [zone of transition]. The suspension of these moments
examines not the symptom [the spoken words] of the dialogue but instead
depicts the events between or juxtaposed. The mapping and slowing down
of such fluid events into still instants adresses the moments where a shifting
of understanding is at play - the spaces where novelty and predictability
intermingle and are emergent within a noisy field.
