Walking the City
Public Presentation | City Walk from Sparwasser HQ | May 14, 13-16:00

Jürgen Krusche will present his socio/ethnographic urban research of Berlin and Tokyo, providing a theoretical context to the forthcoming zigzag walk through the city.|

A collaborative city migration on behalf of Kurr and Krusche will then be performed with the public, where participants will re-navigate the city according to the given zigzag pattern, from Kurr’s Erste Entscheidung, starting at Sparwasser HQ. The walk will first proceed left, then right in an alternating pattern, exploring the city non-orthogonally.
Duration: approx. 2 hours.

The group migrations will be documented on video and included as a work within the exhibition.

Jürgen Krusche (Zurich) Born 1959 in Kaufbeuren (Germany); Artist and cultural theorist; studied music, philosophy and cultural theory in Augsburg, Munich and Zurich; since 2001 research projects at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Zurich in the area of cultural studies, with an emphasis on cross-cultural issues between the Occident and Japan.
